Melanie Lynn Smith

Melanie Lynn Smith, 61, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Baptist Health in Paducah.

Melanie was born on October 17, 1959 in Marion to Orville Eugene and Shirley Fern (Grimes) Hill.  She married Charles Leonard Smith on January 11, 2011 and he preceded her in death in 2012.

Melanie worked in home care as a CNA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Michael Hill.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at 10am at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Robbie Smith officiating.  Burial will follow at Hanks Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 from 5pm-7pm at the funeral home.

Due to health concerns related to the COVID-19 virus, those attending the service are asked to follow social distancing guidelines and wear a face mask.

Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
