Melvin "Press" Presley

Melvin “Press” Presley, 92, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2020 at Integrity Healthcare of Marion.

Melvin was born on October 10, 1928 in Williamson County to Frank and Flossie (McAdoo) Presley.  He married Phyllis Harris and they shared 55 years of marriage.

Melvin was a coal miner and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include:

Wife-Phyllis Presley of Marion

Son-Frank Presley of Carterville

Daughters-Lisa (Scott) Davis of Indiana and LeAnn (Dennis “Rocky”) Mitchell of Marion

Eight grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, LaDonna Hendrickson; grandsons, Jason Presley, Daniel Presley; sisters, Helen Presley (Pugh) Weiss and Mary Lloyd.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 30, 2020 at 7pm at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Richard Nelson officiating.  Visitation will be on Monday from 5pm-7pm at the funeral home.

Due to health concerns related to the COVID-19 virus, those attending the service are asked to maintain social distancing guidelines and wear a face mask.
