Michael Todd Holmes

Creal Springs- Michael Todd “Mike” Holmes, 43, of Creal Springs, died at 5:45 PM, Thursday, December 17, 2015 at the Union County Hospital in Anna. Michael was born on December 10, 1972 in Marion to Douglas Gilbert and Katherine (Stokes) Holmes.  He married Jeanie Potter on December 6, 1991 in Paducah, KY.  She survives of Creal Springs. Michael was a mechanic for IUOE Local # 318 and was currently working at the Olmstead Lock and Dam. Michael loved his family.  His pride and joy were his grandsons.  He loved being together with his family and many close friends.  Mikey was a clown, he wanted to make everyone laugh and be happy.  He loved NASCAR races, riding his Harley and singing Old time Country and Western Karaoke. Survivors include- Wife- Jeanie Holmes of Creal Springs Daughter- Britiney McMillen and husband Julian of Creal Springs Daughter- Whitiney Holmes and Demarlo Harris of Creal Springs Daughter- Ashton Holmes of Creal Springs Four grandsons:                 Javon and Xavier McMillen of Creal Springs                 Dakarai and Jamarai Harris of Creal Springs Brother- Noble Holmes and wife Lori of New Burnside Sister- Vicky Babb and husband Doug of Pittsburg Sister- Lisa Simpson and husband Harry of Creal Springs Brother- Doug Holmes and wife Leisa of Creal Springs Sister- Marcy Holmes of Creal Springs Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers- Jimmie, Eugene Gibby, Donny and Randy Holmes. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion.  Rev. Matt Troxel will officiate.  Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery in Creal Springs.  Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion.  Memorial donations are suggested to the Ashton Holmes College Fund and will be accepted at Blue Funeral Home/ 1704 N.
