Mildred L. Kelley MARION-Mildred L. Kelley, 83, of Marion, passed away at 9:30 PM, Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 18, 2005 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Dr. Joey Brent officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, June 17, 2005 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Memorials may be made to Marion First Baptist Church Building Fund or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Society, envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mrs. Kelley was born on October 17, 1921in Cedar Grove, Illinois to Henry and Ruth A. (Jackson) Rushing. She married Robert L. Kelley on January 29, 1947 in Piggott, Arkansas and he survives. Other survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Karen Kay and Anthony Sebastiano of New Lenox; grandchildren, Kimberly Kay and Ron Webb, Kelli Dawn and Eric Neushwander, and Felicia and Arthur Cook; great grandchildren, Nicole, Brooke, Ronnie and Brandon Webb, Carson and Madelyn Neushwander, and A. J., Brandon, Anna and Christine Cook; sister and brother-in-law, Doris Marie and Dennis Dorsa of Pennsylvania; niece, Lori Walters; nephews, Ed Holiday, Mickey Woolard, Kelley Rix and Larry Rix; sister-in-law, Novella Rix; and brothers-in-law, Harry Holiday and Bob Woolard. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Aletha Woolard. Mrs. Kelley or `MeMe` as she was known by her family and friends, was an active member of the Marion First Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and a volunteer at the Soup Kitchen. She was well known for `Grandma`s Goodies`, Angel Food Cake and her hospitality throughout the area. She was the `Prayer Warrior` for her family and friends. She will be missed and remembered fondly by all who knew her.
