Mildred Wisnewski

Mulkeytown-Mildred Wisnewski, 90, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Herrin Rehab and Nursing Center. Mildred was born on November 3, 1925 in Benton to Wathie and Loney (Mocaby) Bennett. She married Stanley Wisnewski.  He preceded her in death on July 18, 1976. Mildred volunteered at Shawnee Village and the VA Hospital. She attended Benton Church of God and was known as the “Bread Fairy”.  Mildred enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Survivors include: Son-Jerry and Valerie Wisnewski of Mulkeytown Daughter-Jane Sigo of Marion Sisters: Sharon Reichert of Marion Myrl Connor of Sesser Yvonda Drew of Cairo Brothers: Donnie and Diane Bennett of Sesser Dale Bennett of Ringo, GA She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers and one sister. Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 1pm at Masonic & Oddfellows Cemetery in Benton with Rev. Ernie Clifford officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.  Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.
