Mr. Bobby Joe Dawson

Marion-Bobby Joe Dawson, 83, passed away at 8:15am on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. Bobby was born on August 7, 1932 in Pittsburg to Raymond Henry and Maude (Walker) Dawson. He married Millie Williams.  She preceded him in death on November 3, 1999. Bobby was a retired coal miner and a member of Walnut Hill Freewill Baptist Church.  He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will be missed by all. Survivors include- his son, Dale Williams; granddaughter, Dalee Williams; great grandchildren, Ricci Williams and Bobbie Jo Williams; sisters, Elma “Faye” Furlong and Martha June Burns and he was close to his cousin, Richard “Speedy” Dawson. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Jimmie Williams and sister, Fern Long. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 12pm at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Keith Owens officiating.  Burial will follow at Caplinger Cemetery. Visitation will also be on Wednesday from 11am until the time of service at the funeral home.
