Mrs. Mary Robertson

February 23, 1923 — December 24, 2016

Marion- Mary L. Robertson, 93, of Marion, passed away at 8:45 PM, Christmas Eve at Marion Rehab and Care Center. Mary was born on February 23, 1923 in Mayfield, KY to Luther Elwood and Dola Ann (Lamb) Morris. She married Dorris “Robbie” Robertson on November 15, 1941 in Charleston, MO. He preceded her in death on July 9, 1984. Mary was a homemaker and a member of Marion Second Baptist Church. She truly enjoyed gardening her flowers and spending quality time at home with her family. She will be dearly missed. Survivors include- Son- James Ronald Robertson and wife Doris of House Springs, MO Son- Ralph Robertson and wife Darlene of Marion Daughter- Gloria Krause of Belleville Six Grandchildren- John, Tim, Heather, Laura, Nicole and Michelle Thirteen Great grandchildren Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents and 7 sisters. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, December 30, 2016 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Dr. Bob Wagner will officiate. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service, Friday, at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at Blue Funeral Home/ 1704 N. Court/ Marion, IL 62959.
