Pamela Wheaton

Goreville-Pamela Wheaton, 65, passed away on Monday, September 10, 2018 at her home. Pamela was born on November 25, 1952 in Anna to Luther “Fuzz” and Juanita (Durham) Wheaton. Pamela worked at Choate Mental Health for over 28 years and retired in 2010. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and sister.  Pamela loved to watch her grandson play baseball, loved the outdoors and helping people. Survivors include: Son-Kevin and Brande Verble Grandson-Logan Verble Brother-Travis and Peggy Wheaton Sisters-Rita and Randy Herren; Sonja Underwood and Kathy and Darrel Burlison She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Luther “Skip” Wheaton and Harold Wheaton and sister, Denise Hope Wheaton. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 11am at Busby Cemetery in Goreville with Rev. Brad Roberts officiating. Blue Funeral Home in Goreville is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at Blue Funeral Home/PO Box 411/Marion, IL 62959

Pam, will miss our many baseball and basketball visits. Shared many memories just sitting in a lawn chair and visiting....Saying a prayer, Pam, for your family, especially your precious grandson whom you held so close to your heart..
