Patricia Ann Christopher

Patricia Ann Christopher, age 72, of Marion, Illinois, beloved spouse, parent, and friend, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024, at her home.

Pat was born September 5, 1951, in Herrin, IL, the daughter of George H. and Nora M. (Cutty) Kirkpatrick. She grew up in Marion, IL, and graduated from Marion High School in 1969. Pat went on to further her education in Computer Science through John A. Logan College. She worked for The Bank of Marion for over 40 years, retiring as an officer. Pat married William C. "Bill" Christopher on January 25, 1999, in Marion, IL. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and remembered for her kindness, strength, and selflessness. She faced life’s challenges with resilience and determination. Family was essential to Pat, who dedicated herself tirelessly to ensuring the happiness and well-being of her loved ones. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, traveling, vacationing at the beach, gardening, and quality time at the family lake house. 

She is survived by her husband, William C. Christopher of Marion, IL; three children, Brian P. Miller of Coello, IL, Lindsey N. (Jeremy) Brown of Jackson, MO, Cassandra K. Miller of Marion, IL; two stepchildren, William D. (Laura) Christopher of Creal Springs, IL, and Devan L. (Samantha) Christopher of Marion, IL; nine grandchildren, Rylin Harris, Chelsey Harris, Isabelle Harris, Brenna Miller-Franklin, Will Christopher, Allison Christopher, Dottie Christopher, Rayce Christopher, and Piper Christopher; her sister, Kathryn Stewart of Pueblo West, CO, and sister-in-law, Catherine Kirkpatrick of Pittsburg, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents, George H. and Nora M. Kirkpatrick, and her brother George Kirkpatrick.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 28, 2024, from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM, with memorial services immediately following, at Blue Funeral Home in Marion, IL.
