Paul James Holm Jr.

Paul James Holm Jr., age 80, of Marion, Illinois, was called home for assignment by God Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Helia Healthcare of Energy in Energy, Illinois. Paul's wisdom, skill, knowledge and expertise, surpassed only by his love and kindness will be sorely missed in this world by all that know and love him.

Paul was born May 29, 1943 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of Paul James Holm Sr. and Dorothy Ruth Holm (Munton). He married the love of his life, Erma Mae Giesler (Hunt) on August 05, 1979 in Carbondale, IL. Paul had been employed as a Industrial Arts Teacher in Amboy, IL, Service & Erection Engineer for Bucyrus Erie Co. South Milwaukee, WI. Maintenance Manager, Amax Coal Company, Marion, IL. Consultant for Minserco, Killgore, TX He was a volunteer at CASA of Southern Illinois for 19 yrs. Paul's hobbies included workshop, machine shop, tinkering, inventing and writing machine articles for American Machinist magazine.

He is survived by his wife Erma Mae Holm of Marion, IL; two children, Jay (Diana) Giesler of Marion, IL and Jamie (Brett) Stacey of Wadsworth, IL; four grandchildren, Carson (Morgan) Montgomery of Marion, IL, Jake Rich of Lebanon, IL, Cooper Stacey of Wadsworth, IL, and Drew Stacey of Wadsworth, IL; one sister, Judith (Tom) Price of Prarie duSac, WI; and his Great grandson, Oliver Montgomery of Marion, IL. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul James Holm Sr. and Dorothy Ruth Holm of South Milwaukee, WI.

Paul generously donated his body to SIU School of Medicine in Carbondale. As a result and according to Paul's wishes there will be no visitation, funeral or memorial service.
