Pauline Vaughn GOREVILLE-Pauline Vaughn, 86, of Goreville passed away at 9:52 AM, Friday, September 2, 2005 at Hillview Healthcare Center in Vienna. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 4, 2005 at the Blue Funeral Home in Goreville with Elder Glenn Webb officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 4, 2005 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Cana Cemetery in Goreville. Memorials may be made to the Lourdes Hospice; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mrs. Vaughn was born on July 13, 1918 in Williamson County, Illinois to Lloyd and Ella (Kelley) Cox. She married Gilbert Len Vaughn on June 5, 1937 in Blytheville, Arkansas; he preceded her in death on September 19, 1972. Survivors include three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Opal Houghlan of Phoenix, Arizona, Margie Cox of Phoenix, Arizona and Jeanette and Bob Kirby of Goreville; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Judy Cox of Marion and sister-in-law, Faye Simmons of Goreville. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; son, Gary Vaughn; brother, Lloyd Cox, Jr.; and sister, Audra Wolf. Mrs. Vaughn was a member of McKinney Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. She retired from the Choate Mental Health Hospital in 1978 after 20 years of service as a commissary manager. She was a member of the Illinois State Employee Association-Retirees, Johnson County Farm Bureau, Goreville Senior Citizens Center and a 50 year member of the Goreville Women`s Club.
