Raymond Copher

Johnston City-Raymond Carl Copher, 86, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Raymond was born on December 25, 1931 to Carl Otis and Floella (Lear) Copher. He married Alice Lorene McCormick on August 18, 1950 in Marion.  She preceded him in death on July 16, 2002. Raymond was of Baptist Faith and a member of the UMWA. Survivors include: Sons-Michael Copher and Ronald Copher and wife Sylvia Sisters-Rosalee Brinkley and Louise Wright Brothers-Douglas Copher and Leroy Copher Grandchildren-Mike, Ramonica, Naomi, Trisha, Kirsten, Sylvia and Candi 17 great grandchildren One great-great grandchild Several nieces and nephews Special friend-Anna Hoskins He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Jerry Copher; granddaughter, Jenny and sisters, Joyce Nadine Redickas and Nina Mae Bradley. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 11am at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Ben Eldridge officiating. Burial will follow at McKinney Chapel Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Monday from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home.
