MARION- Reba Helen Beasley, 84, of Marion passed away at 3:40 PM, Thursday, May 6, 2004 at Shawnee Christian Nursing Home in Herrin. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 8, 2004 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Paul Lee officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 8, 2004 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Davis Prairie Cemetery, Marion. Memorials may be made to Shawnee Christian Nursing Home; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent co Blue Funeral Home, P.O. Box 411, Marion, Il 62959. Mrs. Beasley was born on July 11, 1919 in Williamson County, Illinois to Emmit and Emma (Burner) Wall. She married Robert E. Lee Beasley on December 4, 1935 in Marion, Illinois, he preceded her in death on June 19, 1993. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Dennis Dobbins of Marion; son Ronald Beasley and his fiancé, Candace Jo Lewis of Marion; son and daughter-in-law, Keith and LaRhonda Beasley of Marion; grandchildren, Chris Fisher and her fiancé, Kevin Travelstead, Kristen Beasley, Holly Beasley, Jim and Dana Dobbins and Laura Baggott all of Marion, and Mitch and Kerri Walding of California; great grandchildren, April Antonacci and Ashley Fisher; and brother, Orval Wall of Peoria. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Warren `Skin` Beasley; sisters, Grace Lind, Lucille Boswell, Geneva Malone, and Thelma Buckner; and brothers, Leon Wall and Theron Wall. Mrs. Beasley worked in the nursery at First Baptist Church for many years, but never worked outside her home. Her home was her work with raising children and helping raising grandchildren and great grandchildren. There was never anyone who came to her home that wasn`t given true `Southern Hospitality`.
