Reba Lane

November 1, 1919 — February 14, 2017

Marion-Reba Fern (Dailey) Lane passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Parkway Manor in Liberty Village. Reba was born on November 1, 1919 south of Harrisburg in East Ledford to Fred and Hazel (Gulley) Dailey. She attended elementary school in East Ledford and graduated from Harrisburg Township High School in 1937. After graduation, Reba worked at Harrisburg Soil Conservative Office. In 1939 William Roy Lane walked into the Soil Conservative Office and didn’t leave until Reba agreed to ride in his new truck. They were married in 1940. Survivors include: Daughter-Judy La Bounty (Hugh) of Carlsbad, CA Daughter-Myrna Sue Bossler (Robert) of San Diego, CA Grandson-Brice Bossler Great-grand daughter-Kate Bossler Nephews-Steve Dailey (Sandy), Mike Dailey (Sherry) and Perry Dailey (Sandy) Niece-Marta Smith (Rod) Many grand and great nieces and nephews Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 20, 2017 at 11am at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Larry Shackley officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery in Harrisburg . Visitation will also be on Monday from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at Blue Funeral Home/ 1704 N. Court/ Marion, IL 62959.
