Reverend David Brinkman

MARION-Reverend David Brinkman, 58, of Marion, passed away at 3:50 PM, Thursday, May 26, 2005 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, May 30, 2005 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Merideth Wilfong officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 9:00 PM, Sunday, May 29, 2005 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery, Johnston City. Reverend Brinkman was born on August 29, 1946 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Marvin and Ritta (Stafford) Brinkman. He married Gwen Wilfong on June 14, 1969 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Survivors include his Wife, Gwen Brinkman; daughters and son-in-law, Lori Cooley of Johnston City, and Christi and Rick Kilman of Pittsburg; grandchildren, Eli, Crystal, Rachel, Nikki, Jessica, and Rikki Kilman and Gabbi Cooley; his mother, Ritta Brinkman of Sikeston, Missouri; sister, Bonnie Stewart of Sikeston, Missouri; and brother, Alan Brinkman of Indianapolis, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his father. Reverend Brinkman was the pastor of Warder Street Baptist Church for 11 ½ years. He was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a man of strong faith and he maintained that faith to the very end.
