Reverend Earl C. Fisher

Reverend Earl C. Fisher MARION-Reverend Earl C. Fisher, 99, of Marion, passed away at 8:10 AM, Saturday, March 5, 2005 at Parkway Manor Nursing Home in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at the First Church of God in Marion with Bro. Jim Glover officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at the church. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Energy. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is in charge of the arrangements. Rev. Fisher was born on December 24, 1905 to Francis and Cordelia Fisher. He married Eathel Tubbs on January 25, 1925 in Benton Missouri and she preceded him in death on November 28, 1990. Survivors include children, Lois Tuck of Marion, Lorene and Walter Henry of Marion, Melvin and Mary Fisher of Marion, Wendell and Betty Fisher of Marion, Janet and Gene Gooch of Marion; seventeen grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, twin daughters, Cleda and Leda Fisher; and his second wife, Alma (Gobble) Fisher. Rev. Fisher was a minister for 60 years and retired from the First Church of God in Marion, Illinois. He pastored churches in Missouri, Kentucky and Illinois.
