Rita Goodwyn

Marion-Rita J. Goodwyn, 81, passed away at Shawnee Christian Village on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 after a long struggle with cancer. Rita was born in West Frankfort on December 29, 1936 to Francis and John Tersinor. She married Arlon Goodwyn on March 14, 1953. For 30 years she worked in the Marion area as an Avon Representative. She was also employed at Washington Elementary School. Rita is survived by her husband, Arlon to whom she was married for 65 years. Also surviving is her daughter and son in law, Toni and Kevin Logan of Brandon, MS; her granddaughter and husband, Katie and Joseph Lutz of Augusta, GA; her grandson, Ben Logan of Flowood, MS and one great granddaughter, Averie Logan Lutz of Augusta, GA.  Her greatest enjoyment was visiting and spending time with her family and friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 26, 2018 from 10:30am until 12pm at First Presbyterian Church in Marion. A memorial service will be held at 12pm at the church followed by a luncheon in the fellowship hall.  Rev. Wade Halva will be officiating.  Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.
