Robert Francis

Marion-Robert Eugene Francis, 85, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2020 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.

Robert was born on May 8, 1935 in Fredericktown, MO to William and Essie (Smith) Francis.  He married Judy Aberle in October 1992 and she survives.

Robert was a lineman for IBEW Local 702 in West Frankfort.  He was a former member of Masonic Lodge #89 in Marion.  Robert was of Christian faith and enjoyed riding horses, camping, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.

Sons-Steven Francis and Jonathan Francis

Sister-Lee Wheeler

Several grandchildren and great grandchildren

Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert Francis, Jr.; brothers, Bill and Bud; and sister, Helen.

DUE TO HEALTH CONCERNS RELATED TO THE COVID-19 VIRUS AND BY THE SIGNING OF EXECUTIVE ORDER BY GOVERNOR J.B. PRITZKER, a private funeral service will be held at Blue Funeral Home in Marion.  Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion.
