Rosemary Burns

October 29, 1946 — July 18, 2017

Stonefort-Rosemary (Groves) Burns, 70, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 4:10pm surrounded by her loving family; husband, Robert Burns, daughter Rosemary Burns and her fiancé Justin Bagley, at Helia Healthcare in Energy. Rosemary was a 1964 graduate of Marion High School. After high school she attended Lockyears Business College in Evansville.  After graduating college she came back to her hometown of Marion where she worked at Olin now known as General Dynamics. On May 4, 1974 Rosemary married Robert Burns at her parents’ home in Marion. They started their married life in the small country community of Dykersburg where the spent 43 years of marriage.  In February of 1986 they added to their family a daughter named Rosemary Beth. Rosemary loved to cook, go shopping, spend time with her family, go to church and send cards to the homebound. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Edith (Youngblood) Groves and father in law and mother in law, Ralph and Marguerite (Hutson) Burns. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 1pm at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Dr. Jerry Ford officiating. Burial will follow at Oddfellows Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Friday from 11am until the time of service at the funeral home. The family would like to thank everyone that sent cards, came to visit her in the hospitals and at Helia and all the prayers that were sent.
