MARION-Rosemary Lunsford, 82, of Marion passed away at 4:45 PM, Thursday, March 10, 2005 at Shawnee Christian Nursing Center in Herrin. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, March 14, 2005 at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin with Monsignor Ken Schafer officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Sunday, March 13, 2005 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion. A Prayer Service will be held at 5:00 PM on Sunday evening. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Marion. Memorials may be made to the St. Joseph Catholic Church or Our Lady Of Mt Carmel School Education Fund; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mrs. Lunsford was born on October 1, 1924 in Marion, Illinois to Roy and Mary Beatrice (Alexander) Cleek. She married Lloyd Lunsford on September 18, 1944 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Together they traveled extensively for 20 years while he was in the United States Army, after retirement they made their home in Marion. He preceded her in death in 1976. Survivors include six sons and two daughters-in-law, James Lunsford of Marion, Richard Lunsford of Crab Orchard, William Michael and Shirley Lunsford of Clarksville, Tennessee, Patrick Lunsford of Whiting, Indiana, Paul and Regina Lunsford of Carterville, and Joseph Lunsford of Marion; eleven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Janice Cleek of Carrier Mills; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; daughter Rosemary Beatrice Lunsford; son, Charles Girard Lunsford; brothers, James, Russell, Richard, John, and Charles Herman Cleek; sister, Anna Mae Jaco; sister-in-law, Velda Cleek; and brother-in-law, Ora Glen Jaco. Mrs. Lunsford graduated from Marion High School in 1941. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion.
