Marion-Ruby Maurine Ponder, 96, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Carrier Mills Nursing Home. Ruby was born on April 14, 1920 in Portales, New Mexico to Everett Glenn and Elvie (Hedgecock) Givens. Survivors include: Daughter-Sharon and Gary Bundren of Marion Daughter-Cheryl Whitehead of St. Ann, MO Daughter-Sheila Winters of Marion Son-Michael and Florence Ponder of Marion Grandchildren: Michael and Melissa Bundren of Marion Jeffrey and Patty Bundren of Creal Springs Darren Whitehead of St. Ann, MO Andrew “Andy” Ponder of Creal Springs Seven great grandchildren Several nieces and nephews Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Everett and Bill Givens and sisters, Laura Watts and Neva Sanders. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 12pm at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in St. Ann, MO with Rev. Bill Phillips officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.
