Marion-Russell Stotlar, 80, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Parkway Manor. Russell was born on June 6, 1937 in Alton to Claude and Myrtle (Griffen) Stotlar. He married Phyllis Parks on May 30, 1959 in Creal Springs. Russell retired in sales and was a longtime member and deacon of First Baptist Church in Creal Springs. Survivors include: Wife-Phyllis Stotlar of Marion Daughter-Robin Stapleton and husband Mike of Crab Orchard Son-Tim Stotlar and wife Donna of Creal Springs Grandchildren: Sara and Jonas Hudgens Andy and Kristy Stapleton Anthony and Kate Stotlar Jon Stotlar Great grandchildren: Josie Stapleton Carly Stapleton Kelsey Hudgens Ethan Hudgens Tommy Wiseman Elijah Stotlar Aunt-Wanda Van He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wendell and Eldon; sister, Carol Loraine and infant sister, Phyllis. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 11am at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Ivan Ryan officiating. Burial will follow at Cana Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 from 5pm-7pm at the funeral home.
