Ruth Ann Sprague

February 8, 1937 — July 27, 2021

Ruth Ann Sprague, 84, passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

Ruth was born on February 8, 1937 in Carterville to George Alpha and Chloe Ruth (Stearns) Horsley.  She married Glenn Allen Sprague and he preceded her in death.

Ruth worked as a teller for Carterville State and Savings Bank; bookkeeping for Jack Bauman Oil; worked for American Magnetics but her #1 job was being a mom and grandma.  She loved playing the piano, crocheting, embroidering and reading and was a member of Crainville Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Barry Sprague and Terry Sprague and brother, Dale Horsley.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 2, 2021 at 11am at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Ralph Brandon officiating.  Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Sunday, August 1, 2021 from 5pm-8pm at the funeral home.
