Sherry Lee Durham

Goreville-Sherry Lee Durham, 78, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Herrin Hospital. Sherry was born on January 8, 1939 in Marion to Elvis Dean and Mildred (Burklow) Parrish. She married Bill Durham on December 25, 1958 at the Methodist Church in Goreville.  He preceded her in death on May 4, 2008. Sherry loved attending ballgames, sewing, playing dominos and cards, working crossword puzzles and especially loved spending time with all her family. Survivors include: Daughters-Toni Ames and husband Dennis of Goreville and Jackie Sue Durham of Vienna Grandchildren-Lance and Jessica Merchant and Kelsey Merchant Great grandchildren-Brooklyn Shay Ralls, Briley Shay Merchant and Brynna Jaye Merchant Brothers-Jackie Parrish and wife Shirley of Marion and Denny Parrish and wife Alisa of Goreville Sisters in law-Thelma Parrish of AZ and Donna Parrish of AZ She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bill; brothers, Max Parrish, Kenneth Deon Parrish, Bill Parrish, Bobby Parrish, Carl “Tubby” Parrish and infant brother, John Wayne Parrish. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 11am at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville with Rev. R.G. Null officiating. Burial will follow at Cana Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 5pm-8pm at the funeral home.
