Ted L. Rush

Ted L. Rush, age 75, of Marion, Illinois, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2023 at Carrier Mills Nursing Home in Carrier Mills, Illinois.

Ted was born September 14, 1947 in Golconda, Illinois, a son of Gus and Myrtle Ava (Vaughn) Rush. He married the love of his life, Brenda Kay Waugh. She preceded him in death.

Ted was a proud United States Army Veteran, achieving his rank of SP5 prior to his honorable discharge on November 1, 1973.

He is survived by three sons, Timothy Lee (Kristal) Rush, Gregory Ryan Rush, and Wesley Don Rush; his Grandchildren, Zachary, Jason, and Jacob Rush; and numerous cousins.

He is preceded in death by his wife Brenda Kay Rush; his parents, Myrtle Ava (Vaughn) and Gus H. Rush; and six siblings.

As per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with final arrangements.
