Virginialee Ashe

Virginialee Ashe, age 73, of Marion, Illinois, passed away peacefully at 8:40am on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Integrity Nursing Home of Marion, Illinois.

Virginialee was born March 01, 1948 in Massachusetts, a daughter of Harry and Catherine A. (Maloney) Matthews. She married the love of her life, Winfred E. Ashe. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Baird, daughter, Catherine Palmer, and son-in-law, Brett Baird, three grandsons, Hunter Henry, Tyler Henry, and Ethan Palmer; two brothers, Frederic and Jeanne Matthews, Christopher and Annette Matthews, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband, Winfred E. Ashe, her parents, and a brother- Rock Matthews.

Visitation will be Monday, December 27, 2021 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Funeral Service will be held Monday, December 27, 2021, 6:00 PM at Blue Funeral Home with Rev. Victor Duckworth officiating.
