Wanda Travelstead

Goreville-Wanda F. Travelstead, 78, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
Wanda was born on January 3, 1938 in Williamson County to Charles Lester and Lucy Irene (Blumenstock) Rodgers. She married Robert Wayne Travelstead in Pulley’s Mill Pentecostal Church on January 21, 1965. He preceded her in death on October 23, 2010.
Wanda was a lifetime member of Pulley’s Mill Pentecostal Church. She loved her kids and grandkids and loved going fishing with her sister Mary. Wanda enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, flowers and talking with her sisters. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Son- David L. Travelstead of Denver, CO

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Oscar Rodgers, Sr.; infant sister, Retha E. Rodgers; brother in law, William Billingsley and in laws, Garnett and Mabel Wilson.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 11am at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville with Rev. DeWayne McCall officiating. Burial will follow at Cana Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, October 10, 2016 from 5pm-8pm at the funeral home.
