Marion-William H. Reynolds, 71, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2016 at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
William was born on November 6, 1944 in Evergreen Park to Gordon and Mildred (Lilac) Reynolds. He married Jane Kneezel in Carbondale on October 31, 1969. She survives of Marion.
William served in the U.S. Army. He was past post commander for the American Legion and he served on the Military Ritual Team. William was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 1301 and a member of the American Legion Post 147. He enjoyed photography, deer hunting, and turkey hunting, loved the outdoors and lifting weights. William devoted his life to his family and veterans organizations.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son in laws, Chris Emery and Richard Dixon; brother, Gary Reynolds and nephew Brian Reynolds.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 1pm at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Ivan Ryan officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Military Rites will be performed by the Marion VFW Post 1301 with assistance from the American Legion Post 147 and the National Guard. Visitation will also be on Monday from 11am until the time of service at the funeral home.
